TM30 Visa Extension Question
I stay in an unused condo that is owned by some Thai friends so they are technically not "landlords" and have not had to register guests through the TM30 portal before.
Is it complicated for them to register me?
Or should I book a stay in a hostel so they can do it for me? If so, how many nights do I need to book (I've seen different answers from 1-5 nights) and should the dates of the stay be the same as my current visa expiry date +/- a day(s) on either side?
Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around the TM30 registration process for visa extension when staying in a condo owned by Thai friends, who technically do not act as landlords. The asker is uncertain if their friends can easily register them and whether they should consider booking a hostel instead. Comments provide insights, suggesting that while friends should report the guest, booking one night in a hotel is typically sufficient as the TM30 slip is valid for up to five days. It emphasizes the landlords' legal responsibilities and recommends checking hotel compliance with the registration.
