How do I register a TM30 for my guest and what are the 90-day reporting rules?

Hello, I have two questions about tm30:

1. I have a friend that just arrived and will stay with me for more than 30 days (doing an extension after 30 days). How do I register her for tm30 to stay at my house as a guest? What paperwork would I need? Take Landlord?

2. Last time I checked in for my visa, immigration stapled in a slip of paper that said I needed to check in to tm30 every 90 days and put a random date next month. I’ve checked in more recently after coming back into the country.... do I still need to check in on that date or just really every 90 days?

Thanks in advance!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has questions regarding the TM30 registration process for a friend staying with them and the related 90-day reporting requirements for their own visa. They seek clarification on necessary paperwork for the TM30 registration and the validity of a date provided by immigration for their 90-day check-in.

And we're done.

The answer to the O/P's question is

GO to your immigration office and ask them what documentation is required to file a TM30 for someone staying with you.

Please can somebody explain me what a visa check in is?

What is inside your passport, something like the picture on top or like the picture on the bottom?

Chiang Mai office. I have a Non-o visa on 90 day check ins (and work permit), I checked in at TM30 Jan 8 after I flew in from USA after a quick trip. My check in stated on the slip of paper is Feb 9 (I will be out of town). My next visa check in is Feb 17.

You do not "check in" with a TM30. You file a TM30 no later then 24 hours after you stay at a place. If you're staying at a hotel, the hotel almost always file the TM30, and you can ask them for a copy of the electronic form.

The "visa check in", I'm assuming, is a 90 day report. This is done after you're in Thailand for 90 consecutive days. If you retuned to Thailand on January 8, the next 90 day check in is April 6 (according to Google).

How about stating WHAT immigration office you use out of the 70+ offices in the country?

You are slightly confused about 90 day reporting and when you file a TM30.

I love it. Immigration put a slip of paper in my passport with a random date. Did they use dice or just throw darts at the calendar?

You friend has te be reported within 24 hours after arrival at your local Immigration Office. As there are different ways to report your friend, discuss this with the landlord. He might do this on line.

Unless you have a visa that gives you a 1 year stay on entry, with a visa you do not report that you are 90 days inside the country as you only get permission to be maximum 90 days inside the county.

Please check your passport and tell us if you use a visa, if yes what kind of visa or if you have an Extension of Stay, your last date of entry, your Admitted to Stay date or Permitted to Stay date, the random date Immigration gave you.
