Guys following on my qn,

I understand that applying for a Ed visa be a better way to extend stay

1. I have looked thru and one of the requirements is police clearance from home country. Is it true it's needed?

If your intending to extend your visa at Jomtien, you will have to register your stay via a TM30.

depending on where in thailand your friend's apartment is you might (as in maybe if that immigration office requires it) have to file a TM.30 (alien in residence form) within 24 hours of showing up there.

Seeing as thailand is 513,000 square kilometers in size :O how about saying where you'll be staying?

Tod if someone stays with a friend for two weeks and that friend is renting where the TM30 is required. Who does the TM30 friend or landlord.
