Hi this is a sort of visa related question I wonder if someone could answer,

Me and my girlfriend live in her house in Nong Khai, back in April I got a slap in the wrists when I went to extend my 60 day tourist visa as we hadn’t informed them of where I was staying, I arrived again last month but we’ve been travelling around staying in hotels so no issues, we’re now heading home and as I’ll probably extend again want to make sure they know so I don’t get told off again, what exactly do we need to do? I’ve seen online about a TM30 that the house master has to fill in and believe it can be done online, someone mentioned to me I would have to fill in a TM28 but I’m not sure as have been in several provinces and not filled one out. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the requirements for submitting a TM30 when extending their tourist visa in Thailand after facing issues previously due to not informing authorities of their residence. Comments provide advice on the TM30 submission process, emphasizing that it must be filed by the property owner within one business day of arrival. They suggest the best method is to submit it online through available apps and mention the necessary documentation required from both the user and the property owner.

Thanks for the responses, we’ll just head to immigration office tomorrow and then register online for next time 👍🏼

Got it sorted today, it’s pretty hassle free if you have your documents, in and out in a few minutes 👍🏼

This group does provide help about TM30 (and TM28 maybe, if they are used).

Legally, you will need to submit a TM30 no later then one business day at the local immigration office after you arrive. This must be submitted by the property owner using one of the following three programs:

Online [best option]:

Apple:

Android

(I *BELIEVE* the Andriod version is working correctly).

From his post, your girlfriend will need:

Signed copy id page of your passport passport,

Signed copies ID card and blue book of land/house owner.

And in some offices copy of rental contract.

Naturally, different immigration offices have different requirements. Nong Khai does not have a website, but they have a Facebook Page. I don't know how updated it is though:

The TM28s are generally not used anymore; ask the immigration office about the policy.

Sorry, I don't understand if "you" (the tourist) or the "property owner" submits the TM30.

The person who submits the TM30 is the property owner; the person who (almost always) fined is the foreigner.
