Has anyone recently applied for a non o visa based on marriage from the Thai embassy in London, if so did you need to show £10,000 in your account for three months for a single entry. Many thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent discussions indicate that to apply for a NON-O visa based on marriage from the Thai embassy in London, applicants are generally required to show a balance of £10,000, equating to approximately 400,000 baht. However, some users reported that only a recent balance statement might be sufficient, without the need to show a three-month account history. There are also mentions of a distinction between the single entry and multiple entry visa requirements, with some suggesting that the £10,000 may not be mandatory for a single entry visa. Conflicting experiences indicate different submission approaches may work, and clarification may be needed for specific financial disclosures for 90-day visas.

If your talking about the 90 day visa rather than the 12 month extension there is a problem with the on line application. I was told that the 400k baht is not required for the 90 day visa and had to upload a document saying simply “not required” in order to work around the error.

@Carl *******
so if you have £10,000 you might as well just show it to the embassy in London

If you have it then you can but it’s not actually a requirement for the original 90 day single entry visa so it doesn’t matter how long it’s been in your account. I got my visa last October only showing about £1500 in my bank as I was waiting on the proceeds from a house sale.

@John ******
so if £10,000 is correct for a single entry it does not need to have been in your account for three months

I had read that £10,000 was only to be shown if you were applying for a multiple entry not single entry

I didn't show 3 months history for mine just the first page giving my details and the recent balance (in excess of the 10k I must admit).

10,000 is about 400,000₿ which is the amount required to apply for the non-O based on marriage in Thailand.
