Hello experts

I'm a UK pp holder

I got my Non O 90 days based on family 2 weeks ago in Savannakhet

Entered into Thailand for 90 days on October 13.

Question...

What are the options to extend and for what length?

What is the process please?

Many thanks in advance for your trusted response.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder with a Non-O visa based on family entered Thailand for 90 days and is seeking options for extension. They can apply for a 1-year extension at a local immigration office based on raising a half Thai child, or a 60-day extension for visiting Thai family, both of which need to be initiated within the last month of the current entry stamp. If they hold a multiple entry visa, they can also consider a 'border-bounce' to obtain a new 90-day entry stamp. Required documentation includes proof of parental rights and financial evidence.

"I'm guessing the child is half thai yes?

If that's the case, take the thai birth certificate and documents out to the Muang Thong Thani immigrations office and see if you can get a 60 day visit thai family extension for 1900baht. IF you get that you can then begin the process to apply for a 90 day in country Non-Immigrant Type visa based on supporting a half thai child that you have legal parental rights to. You would need to have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only transferred in from another country OR you'd need to legally work here (with the correct visa/work permit) and have a salary of a minimum of 40K baht a month.

The first step is getting the 60 day visit family extension to get you OFF amnesty and on to a hard stamp extension"

You need to find a way to deposit money in a Thai bank account in your name only to meet the requirements for the one year extension of stay as Father of a Thai child.

It appears that some Thai immigration offices are requiring the two months seasoning of funds in your Thai bank account...but no requirements to keep the money in the bank account in once you get the one year extension of stay STAMP.

As you recently entered Thailand from Savannakhet with the Non O Visa as Father of Thai child, you are STAMPED in for 90 days.

As before, you can apply One time per Entry for the 60 day family visit extension of stay... 1900 Thai baht at local Thai immigration office.

Question is:

Did you get 1-year Multiple Entry Non-O based on raising a half Thai child, OR Single Entry Non-O based on the same reason?

If you got a Single Entry Visa, your visa is used and no longer valid. Your options are:

- Apply for a 1-year extension based on raising a half Thai child at your local immigration office within the last month of your current entry stamp.

- Apply for 60 days extension based on visiting Thai family at your local immigration office within the last month of your current entry stamp

General information for those extension requirements is in the following comments. For either extension, you need to get the immigration office's specific requirements handout from the local office

IF you got a Multiple Entry Non-O visa based on raising a half Thai child your other option in addition to the above is

- Border-bounce (go to your nearest border with Laos, Cambodia, or Malaysia to exit Thailand, enter a neighbouring country, exit there, and enter Thailand again) to get a new 90 days entry stamp at the end of your current stamp.
