TLDR : Answer Summary
The user on a single-entry 3-month Non-O family visa in Thailand seeks advice on how to stay for an additional 3 months. Responses suggest applying for a 60-day family visit extension or a COVID extension, and potentially a one-year extension of stay by meeting specific financial requirements.

As you have read in the above replies from Benjamin Hays and

...

You can get one time family visit extension of 60 days..

Then either leave or get the one year extension of stay as father of Thai child by depositing 400,000 Thai bank in your name only Thai bank account.

You could try to get a COVID extension of 60 days if applied for by January 25th...

If denied then apply for the family visit extension.

we do not discuss hiring someone to do what you can do yourself at Thai immigration.

If you have the 400,000 Thai baht required on deposit at Thai bank in your name only...get the one year extension on your own at Thai immigration.

you do not need an agent. If you have the 400,000 Thai baht in the Thai bank account in your name..

Do it yourself at Thai Immigration with your Thai son.

Can't he get 60day extension, visiting wife, children? Then when that's ending 30 day Covid extension.

This is for OP. Ady..

Then you can get a 60 day extension of stay based on raising half-Thai child. All extension of stays are 1,900 THB.

The specific requirements depends on the immigration office, however expect the following:

1. The applicant’s passport and a copy of:

a. The data “picture” page.

b. The most recent visa (if applicable).

c. All entry stamps or extension of stay (if applicable) since arrival .

d. The departure card (“TM 6”) that should be stapled in the passport.

2. The extension of stay application form (“TM 7”).

3. A copy of the submitted Notification of Residence of Foreigners form ("TM 30”).

4. The half-Thai child physically next to the applicant, and;

- Their Thai ID card and a front and back copy of the ID card

- Their housebook, and a copy of the first page.

5. For visiting half-Thai child, a copy of the birth certificate.

6. 2x passport sized (4cm by 6cm) photos.

5. 1,900 THB processing fee.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and this may include:

- Copies of all passport pages.

There is no under consideration issued with this extension of stay.

@Mick ******
he can get a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family (IF his Non-O visa is based on marriage to a Thai national OR raising half-Thai child). IF it is still being sold, he can APPLY for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.
Robert *******
Before the 90 days are over you apply at the Immigration Office for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on the same reason you applied for the visa.

But you have to meet the requirements.
Robert *******
No as the reason of the visa is not mentioned.

Visit or call your local Immigration Office for a up to date list.

There is no such thing as a 3 Month Non-O Family Visa. A Non-O visa can be issued for one of the following reasons for family purposes (if my memory serves me right):

- Marriage to a Thai national

- Marriage to a foreigner

- Raising half-Thai child

- Raising foreign child

- Being a parent to a foreigner on a valid visa.

Each one has different requirements.
