Hello, can I get some advice please?

>I have a half Thai child and a wife in Thailand.

>I used to have a non-imm O visa but had to leave Thailand for a while last year, and returned on 2/11/21. I didn't get a re-entry stamp, so that visa is invalid.

I arrived on 2/11/21 on 30 day visa exempt

Then I got the 30 day extension for tourism ended 1/1/22

Then I got the 60 day COVID visa/stamp ends 27/2/22

side note: can't get the non-O visa right now because not enough room in passport (needs two blank pages, I have only one blank page)

What would you recommend I do?

Apply for another covid extension?

Extension based on visiting Thai family?

Something else?

I just need 30-60 days to get my new passport sorted so I can get the non-O visa.

Thank you for reading

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on visa extension options. They have a half Thai child and a wife in Thailand, previously held a non-immigrant O visa, but currently hold a 30-day visa exempt status followed by a COVID visa. They need additional time (30-60 days) to obtain a new passport to apply for the non-O visa. Suggestions include applying for a 60-day extension based on family visits or a COVID extension, with recommendations to consult with an immigration officer.

Go for COVID extension first. If you get it, good, if not then ask for visit family extension. Talk it through with immigration officer first (take your wife) as what you don't want is extension denied with 7 days to leave.

30 - 60 days to get a new passport

15 - 21 days to apply for a conversion.

I think you waited to long to get it all done on time, but you might try to apply for the 60 days Extension of Stay based on visiting family and hope a new passport comes back on time to apply for a conversion.

Conversion to a visa, you came without a visa.

Please do not blame Immigration for running out of passport pages, it should be well known for a long time how many pages can be used if you plan long stay abroad.

sounds like you need take what ever extension you can get (another covid OR a 60 day visit thai family) to buy you time to get a new passport and then apply for the in country conversion to a 90 day non-O

NO, you should tell them if you want to keep pages free of stamps. Immigration is allowed to use pages in a passport to give you a stay in the country.

Yeah, my plan was "COVID extension>Non-O>new passport" but immigration stamped the wrong page, ruining one of my blanks and my plan.

The conversion you talk of...

What kind of conversion is that please?
