Hi all, tried searching but couldn't find the answer. A friend from the UK is over on a Non O visa to see his daughter (Not married but still friends with the mother). He is stamped in until March the 5th but he is wondering what is the best way for him to extend for a month or 2. We will head to immigration on Tuesday but would be better to be prepared before going. Thanks in advance y'all.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend on a Non O visa wants to extend his stay in Thailand to visit his daughter. He has until March 5th but needs options for a possible extension for one or two months. There are two main extension options available: a 60-day family visit extension and a 60-day COVID-19 related extension, both costing 1900 baht. The family extension can be issued on the spot if he provides the child's birth certificate and possibly the mother, while the COVID-19 extension may require a follow-up visit.
