Hi Guys.

So with the news some time ago that Penang were no longer issuing 12 months Non-B, and only single entry 3 months would be granted there.

The route has been to go to Kota Bhura first apply for 3 months as you cant get 12 months first time you go there, until the "know you" or some BS.

I am due to go back now to get my 12 months Non-B.

But i have since heard that Penang have started to issue 12 months Non-B's again as i have had several friends gain first hand experience .

To be able to do it Penang would really be a godsend. I know Penang very well, how to get to and from there, hotel prices etc. It would really save so much hassle.

So can anyone confirm that if i go to Penang i will get 12 months.

Many thanks for any help you can provide on this matter.

and now that we hashed out that Penang most definitely DOES issue year-long, multi-entry Non-B visas

AND

that holding a year-long, multi-entry Non-B visa where you bounce out and back in every 90 days IS a viable way for people to stay here who meet the requirements without the need to get an in country extension we're done.

Good Luck (y)

The way the visa is set up:

You apply for the Single Entry Non Immigrant B visa and on entry you get 90 days of stay.

After 60 days you visit the Immigration Office and apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on working in Thailand.

For those who like to travel, as soon as the Extension of Stay is stamped in the passport, apply for the Multiple Re-Entry Permit.

Cost of Extension of Stay 1.900 Thb

Cost of RE-Entry Permit 3.800 Thb

No more border runs every 90 days, or go to buy a new visa every 90 days.

@Robert ******
Extension of stay is only possible with 4 Thai employees. That's very often not the case in small businesses.

PLEASE all the information you get by PM, it could be totally wrong, incorrect or even trying to sell you some illegal ways to stay inside Thailand.

@Robert ******
my advice being To ask someone on site in Penang. And as I do not want to advertise publicy for businesses I sent this contact I have to
@Roni *****
as a personal message. that's all... where's the problem?
Robert *******
And I see even friends telling that the visa agency around the corner is the best agency who can get the documents for a small price. I even see and delete regular illegal advice on this page.

Your friendship is nice, but what is your advice?

a) I know
@Roni *****
in person and therefore decided to write to him directly.

b) I understand more and more often, that questions like these lead to a flood of differing answers which doesn't get the person asking nowhere, in the end

c) let me know if I am not up to group-politics or community-standards - I am happy to adapt or alternatively invest my time (and helper-syndrome) sharing my knowledge elsewhere.

d) Roni is more than welcome to publicly share what I wrote to him, if he likes to do so.

Is there any other place that give non-b for 12 month? I cant go to Malesya
Tod *********
nope, none that I know of although the thai consulate in Yangon has responded to emails saying they MIGHT issue a year long, multi-entry Non-B on a case by case basis.
Don ********
Correct..just did mine last month..no problems
Robert *******
BTW almost the same requirements at Kota Bharu, you do not need to own shares there.
Robert *******
Penang never stopped issuing the 1 year valid Multiple Entry Non Immigrant B visa, the requirement is an 8 month valid Work Permit, managing director in work permit and company documents and at least 20% shares.
Tod *********
you have to be listed as a managing director and own 20% of the stock in the company and the work permit must state at least director to get a year-long, multi-entry Non-B in Penang
