I have two questions regarding getting a Non-Immigrant B visa in Penang, Malaysia. Has anyone been there recently and been required to provide a criminal record check in order to get their visa? Also, to get the Non-Imm. B visa do you need to have proof of onward flight leaving Thailand at the end of your visa? Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users confirm that obtaining a Non-Immigrant B visa in Penang does not require a criminal record check or proof of an onward flight. To apply, you generally need documentation from your accounting office. Initially, you can obtain a 90-day single entry visa while your work permit is processed, and later you can apply for a one-year multi-entry visa.
