Question re TM30. If I travel to another province in Thailand outside of where I'm registered, does my landlord have to update my TM30 on my return. Only asking to ensure my 90 day reports goes smoothly.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling within Thailand, the requirement for your landlord to update the TM30 form can vary depending on local immigration office policies. Generally, a TM30 must be filed within 24 hours for every change of address. However, some immigration offices, like Korat, may not require a new TM30 for domestic travel, applying this only when leaving and returning to Thailand. It's recommended to check directly with your local immigration office for specific guidelines.

That’s Intresting as I use my house I have rented out for last 3 years as my tm30 address and must go to 20 plus hotels a year and nothings ever flagged up lol
Depends if the other province files a TM30 in your name. I try now whenever I'm travelling around the country to keep my passport hidden, and to use my lady's ID when checking into a hotel. This way immigration are none the wiser
...it is a real pain when traveling internally... every hotel I've been to asks for my passport....I've no problem with the TM30 if I travel outside of Thailand...
we usually book on booking.com on my wifes account and they usually only interested in her ID. If asked for mine usually try Thai ID first. Usually stay in non tourist areas though
You need to ask your local immigration office what their policy is.
The requirement is a TM30 must be filed for every address within 24 hours of arrival. But some offices only require you to file a new one if you've traveled outside the country.
