What are the chances of rejection when applying for the Soft Power visa after two previous DTV rejections?
Hi, I was rejected twice for the DTV under the Remote Worker category (Seoul and Hanoi). I’m Korean and planning to apply again under the Soft Power category. I heard I only need to meet the financial requirement, but is there still a chance of rejection? (I mean I still work remotely and I have regular income and meet all the requirements but I couldn’t get the work letter directly from my employer last time) Also, would HCMC or Malaysia be a better place to apply? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

After two rejections you can be pretty confident that you'll just continue to be rejected without cause, especially if you change the original reasoning.

You better contact an agency like Issa Compass. Afaik they allow you to retry once for free if you get rejected as long as you apply from a certain country (Laos or Philippines) - I may be wrong

Changing the application to Soft Power is not going to grant you the approval, on the contrary, being rejected 2 times already makes it more likely to be rejected again. They see your previous applications

GrayWallaby8130 we've seen reports of those who have been granted the DTV visa on their 3rd try. The choice of where they applied is likely One reason for being DENIED.

I applied for soft power in Hanoi and was approved in 3 days. I know different embassies have different levels of acceptance rates, but not sure why. Maybe they have different policies

What do you mean that you only need to meet the financial requirement? You need to meet all requirements identified for whatever category you apply for. If you have already been rejected twice, you probably need to slow down and wait. Figure out why you are being rejected, etc. the next reviewer can see that you have been rejected twice, so your application needs to now be very strong

It does not matter where you apply, if you think that only meeting 1 requirement is enough, you would be rejected, denied at every Embassy.

Kuala Lumpur is the strictest embassy for approval. Laos is an option you should consider. Do you have an idea of why you were rejected?
