Advice Needed – Visa Situation

I applied for a DTV visa in Italy, unsure if it would be approved, but I had already booked my flight. So, I entered Thailand on a visa on arrival.

A week later, my DTV visa was approved.

Can I fly to a nearby country and re-enter Thailand from there?

Or do I need to fly back to Italy and return to Thailand from there?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! πŸ™πŸΌ

If you applied online as a remote worker, did they ask for additional documents beyond what they list on the website?

Please update what you do and the result of your process. There has been many discussions whether this can be done.

Ciao

!

You are the first Italian I read who has applied the DTV... I am requesting it too. Can I write to you in PM?

Much better to ask the questions in the group, and get answers from multiple sources, best way to avoid wrong advises.

Just go to any border, cross, and come back. It is that simple.

I asked to the agency I usually do border runs with through Malesya and he says they don't stamp for the DTV via border run

that agency has an immigration agent they work with strictly for exempt tourist entries. That's why they told you that. All you need to do is cross the border yourself and return. You're stamped in for 180 days no problems at all.

thank you.

Are you saying this from experience?
Henrik *****
Just ask at any tourist information desk, to get you the tickets to go to a border and back.

Not sure what happened. I just don't want to do two days of land trip if they can't stamp it.

I want to be sure I can get the stamp

The agency just wants to collect a fee from you and control you, keep you in fear.

You don't need a babysitter to make a simple border run. When you re-enter Thailand make sure the immigration officer understands you already have a Visa and that you don't want to be stamped in as a tourist. It’s not a problem, you just have to empower yourself.

The guy said a person went doing the border run and they didn't stamp him with the DTV.

They just gave him 2 months tourist. I don't know πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

the guy didnt have dtv ready? The agency failed? That sounds odd. Have to tried to ask immigration yourself what you have to do?

@Elena ***
what do you need acency for? You have a visa, just go out and come back

the agency organizes the trip like the bus, ferry, one night stay and takes care of everything at immigration

@Elena ***
you could just tell them you dont need any work from them, only the trip
