THAI SPOUSE VISA

can somebody please explain what options I have if I enter Thailand on the only spouse visa available at the moment (single entry ). I work on rotation and don't want to have to pay 6,000 thb each time of application as well as all the other application bits and pieces. Is the visa changeable to a multi entry once inside the country ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about options for a single-entry Thai spouse visa (Non-O) and whether it could be changed to a multi-entry visa while in Thailand. The response highlighted limitations for those working on rotations, emphasizing the initial 90-day validity, conditions for applying for yearly extensions, and the option to purchase a multiple re-entry permit after obtaining an extension. It also mentioned the possibility of applying for a 60-day family visit extension for 1,900 baht.

Okay, and we're getting off track. This post was let on because the O/P was entering on a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage and wanted to know their options after that

We are NOT allowing posts on the group from people out of the country who are trying to get in. There are more than a few f/b pages dedicated ONLY to that topic and they are filled with good info.

Sorry to close down this post but I think the O/P has their answers.

You can apply one time for a 60 days family visit extension at Thai Immigration 1,900 Thai baht.

Ok. I was told an Australian guy recently received a multi entry in Australia prior to coming. That's not the case yet when applying in Singapore. Guess I will have to try and come in on the single this time and hope that it changes back again soon. Thank you

, you are correct, people ARE able to get the year-long, multi-entry Non-O visas based on marriage issued from the consulates in Australia. BUT the US and UK (and other consulates are only issuing single entry Non-O's :/ )

a multientry may help only if you leave and return ...recognizing at this time all CoE requirements must be met again..including ASQ Quarantine 15 days.

Yes my time is between singspore and thailand. Not been home for 8 months and want to meet my new born son. My visa was just declined. So I am currently appealing/reapplying

you have very limited options at best, especially working rotation where you want to come in and out during the year.

You will get a 90 day single entry non-O based on marriage and when you enter you'll get stamped in for 90 days, you can't apply for a yearly extension until you have 45 days or less left on your entry stamp AND then when you do apply you'll get a 30 day under consideration stamp and you have to go back on that date to get the year extension inked in

THEN you can buy a multiple re-entry permit and you'd be good to enter on that visa extension for a year.
