Hi. UK citizen about to pass through New Orleans where i got a non o multiple entry a few years back. The lady said today that no honorary consulate can issue a multi entry any more. She did say I could get a single entry and then apply for a multiple when I arrive in Thailand. Is this correct and how do I do this at immigration, is this straight forward? The non o is based on marriage and I will be applying at Jomtien immigration. Thanks.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster, a UK citizen, is confused about obtaining a Non-O multiple entry visa based on marriage after being told by the honorary consulate in New Orleans that they can only issue a single entry visa. Comments clarify that they cannot convert a 90-day single entry Non-O visa into a multiple entry once in Thailand. Instead, they can either return to a Thai consulate like those in Savannakhet, Ho Chi Minh City, or Seoul for a multiple entry visa, or apply for a yearly extension based on marriage at Jomtien immigration, which requires meeting specific financial requirements.
