Hi! My family came in with O single entry visa (dependents to me on a nonB visa) valid for 3 months (until end of July)but we’d like to travel in June. Can we switch to multiple entry for them or can we do the visa extension now even though the visa is still valid?

If we switch to multiple entry will we have to pay for a new visa? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about their family's O single entry visa, whether it can be switched to a multiple entry visa, or if they can extend it while it is still valid. The response clarifies that switching to a multiple entry visa is not possible and informs that a year extension can be applied for when there are 30 days or less remaining on the entry stamp. It also mentions that once the extension is granted, re-entry permits can be purchased.

nope you can't "switch to a multi entry" anything.

At most immigration offices you can apply for a year extension for your family based on you legally working here on a Non-B/extension when they have 30 days or less left on their 90 day entry stamp

Once they get the extension in their passport that matches yours THEN you can buy re-entry permits and leave/come back without losing the stamp

What immigration office do you use?
