I have a girlfriend in Thailand and I am in uk at the moment, I don’t have a property in my name and the property I live in is in a friends name and so are the bills except broadband, we don’t have any contracts and I have lived here for 11yrs, I work and can show statements for a sponsored visa, is there anything we can do to get her a visa to uk because she thinks it’s not possible

 it’s pretty much what the majority of the rundown towns are becoming though. Obviously you can live in the Cotswolds, but that comes at a hefty price. Personally I’d rather live here for a fraction of the cost. Have great weather all year round and live a happy, stress free life.

You’ll have to show she can stay with you ie landlord letter of approval. Send her an invite letter. Make it clear you will cover her costs and medical insurance.

Any correspondence or statements you’ve sent money to establish how long you’ve known her. They just don’t want her to be a burden on the state and go back when she says. List reasons she has to go back, job family etc

Just for a Visitors Visa,She will need to show very strong ties to Thailand, job, home, children, ANYTHING to show she has a reason to not be gone from Thailand for any long length of time.

The Home Office is a cesspit as far as granting Visit Visa's if a Visitor can't show a strong, valud reason to return to their home country.

For a Partner Visa, you need to earn 29k+ per year able to show a minimum of 6 months pay slips, you must have accommodation, not necessarily in your name, but letter from landlord, The current Visa/NHS fees are approx additional 3k+ paid up front for either a 10 or 5 year pd at approx 2.5yr intervals AND then ILR can be applied for

Seriously people, I speak the truth. Are we denying it is expensive? The food is bad unless you like kebab or curry. Weather is crazy cold in the winter and it rains in the summer. The Thai girls love their braces and cute little smile. When they look at the avg Brit with their teeth, they would get outta the country asap.
