hi, I entered Thailand on June 9 and reported tm 30 on the same day. time flies n I hv made an appointment for tm 47 in person next Monday Sept 9 .

I just remembered the check out day for tm 30 is Sept 6 because by the time I filled in tm 30 I thought there would be a trip out of Thailand before that but canceled. my concern is there is a gap period of a few days uncovered. will there be a problem ? should I just leave it or report tm 30 agn to cover those few days?

thanks for your time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user entered Thailand on June 9 and reported their TM30 the same day. They have an upcoming TM47 appointment on September 9 but realized their TM30 had a check-out date of September 6, leaving a gap of a few days. They are concerned about the implications of this gap and whether they should file a new TM30 to cover those days. Community responses clarify that a TM30 remains active until a new one is filed and suggest submitting a new TM30 with an open or extended check-out date to avoid issues.

If you can access TM30, just submit a new one with a check-out date open or long enough, for example as same as your extension. Some offices don't accept if the checkout date is filled with the date already has passed. You need to check with them.

A TM30 doesn't expire, it's active till it's refiled with another TM30 filing updating your stay at a different address, regardless of the proposed end date of stay that was entered when it was submitted.

The real question is what Thai Visa or extension with re-entry permit did you enter Thailand with?

IF you ENTERED THAILAND on June 9th with a Visa and was stamped in for 90 days, you are NOW on OVERSTAY unless you have an extension of stay stamped in your passport.

Look at your passport stamp... what date does it show you as stamped in for when you see arrived June 6th ???

sorry, I m on a retirement visa.

@Paul *****
and you had a re-entry permit...

What is the ending date of your retirement extension?

Are you now wanting to file a 90 day report?

If so...it was due 90 days from your arrival date of June 6th... which is September 4th.

Your TM30 address registration for your Address might need to be updated as you entered Thailand June 6th.

And the 90 day report can be filed Up to 15 days BEFORE due date of September 4th or up to 7 days AFTER.

So you should be fine as you have an appointment at Thai immigration office on Sept 9th

ASK your Local Thai Immigration office for their Policy regarding returning to your TM30 address registration on file with them when you leave Thailand and reenter.

Read the post again. The author entered LOS on 9th June and hasn't left since. He doesn't mention a re-entry permit. His 90 days expires on Saturday 7th, so he needs to do a new 90 day report on Friday 6th....or attend his appointment for extension on 9th and risk a small 3 day overstay fine. Because his 90 day expiry falls on Saturday and his appointment is Monday, they may overlook it.

@Paul *****
should not be a problem. AND as this is already Sept 3rd... not much can be done. Hopefully all is well with you when you visit the Thai Immigration office on Sept 9.
