I m a retirement visa holder with a multi entry and I am required to do my tm47 on May 4. I had a trip out of Thailand and was back yesterday and got an extra year of permission of stay at the airport. I did my tm 30 last night. My questions are:
1) should I do my tm 47 on the old date (May 4)or a new date which is supposed to be June 15?
2) it is said that I no long hv a multi entry . that being said I gotta buy 1 in the future. where can I buy it? will it be a single entry that I need to buy every time I hv a trip out of Thailand or a multiple one?
3) if I buy it at the airport in my next trip, where exactly is it located at the airport? n what is the opening hrs of it? if I take an early or a late night flight, is the office still opened ?
many thanks to your response in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, holding a retirement visa, seeks advice on several immigration-related issues, particularly regarding the timing of their TM47 submission and the purchase of a re-entry permit. They are uncertain whether to submit their TM47 on May 4 or wait until June 15, as well as how to obtain a re-entry permit due to a change in their multi-entry status. Several commenters have provided guidance, indicating that the TM47 should be filed based on the arrival stamp date for the 90-day report, as well as how and where to purchase the necessary re-entry permits, both at immigration offices and the airport.

I believe that the OP has the answers needed. We are pleased to hear that he has obtained his 2nd Year of the OA visa... well done ๐ And will be obtaining a RE-ENTRY PERMIT BEFORE he departs from Thailand. Safe travels
if you obtain it at the airport be before you clear Thai Immigration. . Single re-entry permit is 1,200 Thai baht and the Thai Immigration Officer completes the TM8 form while you wait. If the re-entry desk is not manned, just Ask the Thai Immigration Officer at the Immigration Departing desk and they will open it up for you.
If you got stamped in for another year it sounds like you have an Non-Immigrant Type OA (Long Stay) visa that you got from a thai consulate in your country before you came here. That is the visa that required a back ground check, mandatory health insurance, medical certificate and proof of funds in your country.
That visa is good for a year, it's good for unlimited entries during the validty and every entry gets you stamped in for a new calendar year (or as long as your mandatory health insurance is valid for up to a year)
The multiple re-entry portion of that visa expires when the visa (sticker or PDF) expires so you would need to buy one if you're going to exit/re-enter this coming year you're stamped in for
You buy it at the immigration office where you file your 90 day reports OR at the airport before you fly out

They sell single re-entry permit for 1000baht at the immigration office (1200baht at the airport) and they sell multiple re-entry permit for 3800baht at the immigration office (4000baht at the airport)
Suvarnabhumi airport has the re-entry counter in International Departure #2 AFTER you go thru security screening but before you stamp out of the country
Don Mueang has the re-entry counter AFTER you stamp out, so tell them you need a re-entry permit when you get to passport control to stamp out
thank you for your reply. so after going through the security screening and before going down for the passport control, I gotta buy that re entry visa. I must make a mental note of it coz it is so easy to forget (no experience ) and may go down as the others do.
yes, I had a health insurance certificate before returning to Bangkok.
thanks agn.
