Is there a visa in Thailand that eliminates the need for 90-day reporting and TM-30 filing?

Is there any visa that obviates the need for 90-day reporting and filing TM-30 forms whenever you travel around? I suspect not, since even the Elite visa requires 90-day reporting.

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, most visas require 90-day reporting and TM-30 registration for foreign residents. The only visa that doesn't necessitate 90-day reporting is the SMART visa, though TM-30 still applies. Some expats have noted that certain Non-Immigrant multiple-entry visas, like Non-O ME, allow them to avoid 90-day reporting by exiting the country every 90 days instead. Other options to ease TM-30 requirements include staying in hotels that manage TM-30 filings electronically.

I’m a little long in the tooth for that. But my orange monster of a leader is hiring tons of people with no experience, so maybe I’ll look into it 😏

Thank you everyone! Looks like the Non-O ME is probably best for me.

any of the year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant 'regular' Type visas (O, B, ED, etc) don't do 90 day reporting because you can't get stamped in longer than 90 days.

The ONLY visa that doesn't require 90 day reporting is the SMART visa BUT you'd still do TM.30's

Live and work in Bangkok on a non-B visa. No need for TM-30 (for now!) and if you work for a company/school, they often have someone who can do 90 day reports for you.

yes you do need, but tbh hardly anyone in BKK does it (for now)

OK fine, I certainly don't want to advise people to dodge the law. But it's a fact Bangkok doesn't ask for it for extensions.

You do need a TM30, everybody needs a TM30 on file someplace. I know it's not being used for extension of stays and stuff like that. However, according to the Bangkok Post (2018), a building was raided, it was discovered the people staying there did not have TM30 filed, and they all got fined.

Some immigration offices only require a TM30 when returning to Thailand from abroad. Some offices have tried to enforce the TM.30 for domestic travel

No, there is not. the TM 30 address registration is not even visa related, every foreigner has to be reported within 24 hours after arriving at an address in Thailand.

To get around the filing TM30, you can stay at a hotel room. It's the hotel's responsibility to file the TM30, and they usually do it electronically. I never heard of anyone getting fined because the licensed hotel didn't file the TM30.

For the 90 day reporting, you can avoid those by getting Multiple Entry visas (i.e. Non-O ME). Instead of doing a 90 day report, you leave the country every 90 days through a border bounce.
