TLDR : Answer Summary
When arriving at a residence in Thailand, it's necessary to submit form TM 30 at the local police station to comply with immigration regulations. However, the necessity of doing so may depend on whether you have reasons to visit the immigration office, such as for extensions or reports. If you do not need to go to the immigration office, compliance with the TM 30 may not be strictly enforced.

The next question IS, will you be needing to go to the immigration office in Roi Et while you're there? To get an extension, a certificate of residence, a re-entry permit, do a 90 day report etc?

I ask that because IF you have no reason to go to the immigration office, while technically obligated to file a TM.30, no one will know if you didn't.

You are correct. Thank you.

If that is the type of visa you have (where it's got a year between the date it was issued and the "enter by" date AND it has an M under the number of entries) that visa only stamps you in for 90 days at a time. Look at your entry stamp it should be for 90 days.

Once that 90 days is running out you go to the border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in&out of another country and then back into thailand to get another 90 days. You do that for the validity of the visa (a year from the date it's issued).

Peter Schlosser You were told wrong. There is no such thing as a one year visa based on marriage where you only do 90 day reporting.

I would bet you have a year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant Type O visa that looks something like this

One year visa and apparently 90 day reports, so I got told.

, and is it a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa where you're going to border-bounce every 90 days? OR is it a 90 day single entry one that you're going to apply for a yearly extension at the immigration office by meeting the financial requirements?

I arrived one week ago on a NonO Spouse Visa.

How about stating where in thailand you are going to be?
