TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM 30 registration can be submitted at a police station under specific circumstances, mainly if there isn't an immigration office nearby; generally, this applies to remote areas over 100 km from an immigration office. However, submitting TM 30 has transitioned largely to online methods, making in-person submissions uncommon. It's often the responsibility of the property owner, but if they haven't completed it, the tenant may need to intervene.

Try asking your landlord to register and give you the login details...then register yourself, that's what I do.

Why are you doing it, I thought it is the property owner’s responsibility?

Probably because the landlord hasn't done it and the OP will require the services of Immigration soon

Exactly! Foreigner is the one who suffers, if not done.

Believe the law says more than 100km from an immigration office you can use a police station for 90 day reports and tm30s.

That hardly applies anywhere in the country except somewhere remote like along the Myanmar border in Southern Tak or Mae Hong Son.

I didn't write the law mate. Its mostly for people living on the islands and out in Issan.

Well, I explained how very few people will be affected because there's pretty much an immigration office within 100km of everyone except for some people in Tak and Mae Hong Son and possibly some islands - never heard of any foreigner residing on Similan though.

In Isarn, I think you'll find nearly everyone is within 100km of an immigration office.

Dude, I'm just telling you that this exception won't apply to very many people.

Take a look at a map and see for yourself where all the immigration offices are, they're literally in every province and some have more than one. Unless you live high up in the mountains or on Koh Similan, you'll probably be redirected to the nearest immigration office as they'll deem you don't live far enough away.

You can if there is no Immigration nearby so be prepared to be re-directed if their interpretation of nearby differs from yours

This is generally only for locations that are very far from an immigration office and back before you could submit online. But almost no one does TM30 in person anymore, it's all done online.

By law yes, but many don't especially private landlords. And, the "We" (Foreigners) suffer the consequences when you need something from Immig. Office.

Not a matter of "dodgy". If you are renting from private owner (i.e. Apartment or Condo), more often than not, they don't do it for you.

So private rent a switched on person would then register and do it on line takes less than 2 minutes
