TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether one should apply for a Certificate of Entry (COE) to Thailand during ongoing lockdown conditions. Despite lockdown measures, many comments suggest that flights are still operational and that having a visa and COE would allow for travel. Some users caution about quarantine measures upon arrival, particularly for UK passengers, while others express concerns about the potential risks of traveling now versus waiting for better conditions.

totally agree Why take the risk now Better to wait a couple of months I was in the process of applying for a TR before this lockdown but is it really worth the stress?I planned on going end of February but will wait until end of March Of course quarantine will no doubt still be in place but all should be otherwise fine by then

it is illegal to travel abroad from the UK at the moment except in extenuating circumstances Is it really worth the risk for tourism purposes? Plus any UK insurance would be null and void Better to wait at least until the end of February imo

not illegal in exceptional circumstances........there is a difference as in not 'extenuating circumstances '.

So depends on the reason.
