TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether one should apply for a Certificate of Entry (COE) to Thailand during ongoing lockdown conditions. Despite lockdown measures, many comments suggest that flights are still operational and that having a visa and COE would allow for travel. Some users caution about quarantine measures upon arrival, particularly for UK passengers, while others express concerns about the potential risks of traveling now versus waiting for better conditions.

You can still come but the quarantine is different for UK. No yard time until after 2 clear covid tests / 14 days so in the room

It's been confirmed that UK passengers CAN still fly here after the rumours a few days ago.

No one people from England can come now. So I think his flight will be cancelled... Even work permit or visa. Finish untill I don't know when
Wee jimmy krankie wasn’t to impressed with Celtic doing that.

Yes tell them no issue whatsoever. And they can travel really the rules do say no international holidays but how they can tell if it’s a holiday or not

And that’s if they tried to stop you which they won’t

I was just answering your question i.e. a tourist visa would indicate a holiday.
totally agree Why take the risk now Better to wait a couple of months I was in the process of applying for a TR before this lockdown but is it really worth the stress?I planned on going end of February but will wait until end of March Of course quarantine will no doubt still be in place but all should be otherwise fine by then
it is illegal to travel abroad from the UK at the moment except in extenuating circumstances Is it really worth the risk for tourism purposes? Plus any UK insurance would be null and void Better to wait at least until the end of February imo
extenuating or exceptional not a great deal of difference I agree in those circumstances it is fair enough if genuine My point being fir tourism is it worth the risk ATM I'd planned on early February but am now looking at early March fingers crossed
