Is it possible for people planning to enter on VISA exemption to get a CoE?
There was some information circulated that indicated this and the CoE site has an appropriate option for it (just added a couple days ago), but my wife's CoE application was rejected on the basis that this is not supported yet.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around whether individuals entering Thailand on a visa exemption can obtain a Certificate of Entry (CoE). While there have been recent changes mentioned that suggest a possibility for this option, there is confusion as one user's application was rejected. Other comments indicate that even if there are rumors of approval, official confirmation in the Royal Gazette is still pending, causing concerns about the effectiveness of this process at local embassies. Users also recommend applying for a standard tourist visa instead if time-sensitive.
