I have AXA insurance... In the (hopefully unlikely) chance one gets COVID and is forced to go into one of those isolation centers... How much does AXA cover (see my coverage below.)

Does my "Medical Expense due to accident or sickness" of 1.75 million baht cover all COVID related expenses including hospitalization.

I got AXA insurance (see below) before coming here on Thailand pass... as it's expiring soon, I'm trying to see if I should extend it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about AXA insurance coverage for COVID-19 related medical expenses, specifically if their coverage of 1.75 million baht for 'Medical Expense due to accident or sickness' includes hospitalization for COVID. Comments suggest reaching out to AXA directly, confirm that previous packages were approved for the Thailand Pass, and note a personal experience where AXA covered most COVID-related costs with only a small out-of-pocket expense.

baht. They made me pay like 200 baht out of pocket.

.. I was picked up at airport for my 7 day quarantine at an asq. They took us straight to for a test then to the hotel. They called later and said we were positive and that they would come get us.

so you had to isolate in a hospital and AXA paid the hospital directly? also, how many days did you isolate?
Lawrence **********
@Garry *****
.. yes. 10 days. Zero choice of food. Same meal every meal. The isolation hospital is actually a hotel. AXA paid directly and I couldn't leave until they were paid in full.

Good to hear that they paid all except 200 baht.

Could you possibly tell me the hotel name? And did you have a choice of hotels?

@Garry *****
.. No choice of anything. I believe wherever you get tested is who comes and gets you. The place I ended up was the Bazaar Hotel. It was just like quarantine but without any choice on meals or when to eat. They check O2 and temp at 6am and don't bring breakfast till 9am. I do believe you could have deliveries . I had ZERO symptoms. Nothing. I don't believe I was positive. They NEVER tested me again and just let me leave after 10 days. STUPID
