AXA travel health coverage attempted to reimburse me for a cheap hospital visit in Bangkok but got the account number wrong. Now I can't get anybody to respond to me in order to fix this and it's been months now that I've been requesting assistance. I do NOT recommend AXA travel insurance for Thailand. Beware!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared a negative experience with AXA travel health insurance regarding reimbursement issues for a hospital visit in Bangkok, citing difficulties in communication and resolution over several months. Other commenters echoed similar frustrations with insurance companies in general, discussing challenges with claims and suggesting that social media complaints might yield better results. Concerns about the lack of legal recourse against corporations in Thailand were also raised.

Sounds that the blueprint for a global new world order is being shown to us via Thailand. You get screwed by big corporations and independent contractors too with no legal recourse. You just have to accept it lying down because there’s no real rule of law— 😔

insurance companies not wanting to pay / making the reimbursement process difficult is as old as insurance companies themselves

I had a problem getting flight compensation from Etihad .

Phone calls , emails all didn't work .

Posting a complaint on their Facebook page got everything fixed in a few days 👍

thanks for the advice. We are also facing the same problem with our claim for delay by Scoot. After repeated email denials they simply went quiet despite repeated reminders from us. Will try the FB route. Hope it provokes a positive response.

AXA did attempt to reimburse me but they tried to reimburse a credit card which isn't going to work with a Swift transfer. The issue really is I can't get anyone at AXA to respond to me to fix this. I just emailed AXA's bank (Citi) to contact me to help resolve this so we'll see what happens and I already got an automatic reply that they'll be contacting me soon.
