Preceding this with, yes I'm lazy, but

What insurance have people been getting if not AXA?

Or is Axa's price and conditions comparable to other companies?

Looking for a 3 month policy.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses insurance options for expats in Thailand, specifically looking for alternatives to AXA for a 3-month policy. Commenters recommend Luma as a good option, citing its comparable pricing and coverage, as well as Arawan Namak and Safety Wing as alternatives. There are discussions regarding COVID-19 coverage details, with some commenters expressing concerns about asymptomatic cases not being covered under certain policies. Overall, it serves as a community-driven comparison of insurance plans available for short-term stays.

Luma, I saw requires medical check from 65 years+.

Safety Wing. For me it's only $40 USD/month, and it works for the $100k COVID coverage. I've only heard good things from other people who have reviewed it.

Seems odd to me that insurance is the same for vaccinated, not vaccinated, and does matter which vaccine. If some are more effective than others and any is more effective than none, shouldn't risk affect cost?

I have found the insurance companies prices change depending on country your from. EU is cheaper than coming from Australia

ACS cheaper than Luma

For Luma Thailand Pass, premium only differs depending on duration of coverage. The same duration has the same premium for all ages from 1 to 74 years old.

12 months from Luma

If you read the Luma policy, if you get covid without symptoms, then there is no cover.

@Dick *********
bet a few don't see that!

I work for Luma and would like to confirm that asymptomatic covid positive cases are covered.

@Xaynaly *************
so why would the policy received by Dick state different? Also the summary I got from broker is also same. Has there been a recent change can you share the legal document? FAQ on a homepage doesn't help people when they claim or is in dispute with Luma :)

AXA thailand but never had to use it in anger. Ts and Cs looked ok. As others have said Luma sounds pretty good so I may investigate them for my next visit.
