TLDR : Answer Summary
A married couple seeking a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) is inquiring about the use of a joint bank account for their visa application, specifically whether it would be viewed negatively compared to having separate accounts. Community comments indicate that while joint accounts can be used for the application, it is important to ensure each spouse meets the minimum financial requirements (500k baht each). Some users have shared their own experiences, noting that all funds should be clearly documented and that the working spouse should apply first followed by the dependent spouse. Additional documents like a marriage certificate are also necessary for proving dependent status.

Joint accounts are often viewed as being shared

between the named holders so only half the money in the account is seen as yours. That means for you to apply you may need the equivalent 1m baht in the account.

I am a married couple currently applying for DTV with a joint account. You 100% need 500k baht EACH in that account. You for sure can use a joint account if both of your names are on it. If that is just a savings account and not the account you do your daily spending on, they will ask for that account too.

The person who has a job, if you're applying for workcation DTV, will need to apply first, then the spouse dependent applies next. Let me know if you have any questions 😊

We applied from the US and we needed 30k total in the account minimum for 3 months. 15k for each applicant. The account was only in my name so I don’t know if joint accounts are ok or not. My wife also does not work and I do we are on the workcation category. I applied first and then added her as a dependent. We had to pay two application fees and waited about 10 days each for approval.

The USA Thai Embassy and Consulates now requires US $16,000 not $15,000.

There is an option non-o family visa using marriage certificate - if one of the you gets a DTV the family can accompany on a 90 day visa or visa exempt and apply for non-o family visa in thailand. Will need marriage certificate and other documents to show dependant status - children over 20 do not qualify for this

That is for a foreigner with Thai children and or wife. Requires 400k. Its nothing.g to do with the DTV or elite.

Once more as you seem incapable of understanding English. The visa a dependent of a DTV holder is issued with is a DTV visa. They do NOT get an "O". Now get back to your bottle or you will be having the DT's not DTVs.

I am pretty sure that Non-O Family visa is only available where the non-Thai has a Work Permit and the correct visa. Do you have a link stating where DTV family members can get a Non-O this way?
Andrew ********
@Greg *******
yes a DTV is not a non-o visa however it is used for study and remote working still - the dependant visa is for your immediate family to follow you to thailand with proof of birth cert and marriage certificates as the non-o dependant visa reads i honestly didnt think it could be used for DTV but I found out different when I asked - it seems im the only one in this group that actually consults a thai immigration lawyer

It doesn't mention the DTV at all and the DTV is not a Non-O visa. Looks completely irrevelant to the question.

Helps if you read i posted two links one for retirement and one for DTV
Greg ********
The Retirement Visa is an "O" and not a DTV. Where does it say a DTV holder is valid to support a Non-O applicant family visa?

It is well known about a DTV dependent visa. The dependents get a DTV too. You stated an O visa as dependents on someone's DTV. I really do not think you are playing with the full deck. Stop consulting with the Leo and Chang.
