TLDR : Answer Summary
The acceptability of a joint account as proof of funds for a DTV visa varies by embassy. Some embassies may allow it, but often require the total funds to be doubled to account for ownership stakes. While some users report successful applications using joint accounts, others advise against it, suggesting that the account must ideally be in the applicant's sole name.
It depends on your embassy. We've successfully gotten our DTV, Non O or tourist visas using a joint account at various embassies. In each case our account balance had to be double the required amount to cover for 2 applicants.

We applied at the LA embassy in the US using a joint account in both mine and my husband’s name and got accepted with zero issue. He got the DTV and me and our kids are dependents
even if the buiness account solely carried the name of the applicant? Meets the 500k baht requirement

That will depend on the embassy. Some embassies might accept it, and some might not. Some might require double the amount of funds if they do accept it, since only 50% is yours.
