How often can you apply for a 3 month O visa during the course of a year? This visa is designated single entry so would it automatically be cancelled on leaving the country after less than 3 months?

For example, apply in London for the O visa, exit Thailand after a 2 month stay, then apply in London for a second O visa shortly after return to London. Many thanks for your advice,

Peter

TLDR : Answer Summary
Peter is inquiring about the frequency of applying for a 3-month Non-O visa throughout the year while also considering the implications of leaving Thailand before the visa's expiry. Several comments suggest alternative visa options, explain that there is no strict limit on applying for the Non-O visa, and note potential scrutiny from immigration officials regarding repeated visa applications. Overall, users advise considering different types of visas and highlight that while applying multiple times may be possible, it could invite questioning from immigration.

Shouldn't have a problem getting them issued. . .

Before all the consulates went to eVisa online system MANY people (who couldn't qualify for an extension in country) would get a 90 day Non-O, then take the 60 day visit thai family extension, then leave and get a new 90 day Non-O and they did it for years and years that way

I can't see that they would change policy just because they went to eVisa online, so as long as you meet the requirements you should be fine applying for a new Non-O visa

Why would you want to do this. There is no benefit to it and it is a very costly way of just wanting to stay 2 or 3 months at a time.

Just get a tourist visa which covers you for 2 months, if want to extend do so, then when you go back to UK just apply for another tourist visa.

There isn’t a set amount of times you can get a non O during a one year period. The embassy you are applying through will decide whether to issue you one or not.

You’d probably not have an issue trying for two. Perhaps an issue if more.

If you manage to get the visa I really can’t see you having any form of issue with immigration even with a history of previous entries as you have a valid long term visa to enter. That’s not a given as though it’s up to the individual immigration officer.

The METV multiple entry tourist visa may be a one time option for you. With planning you could get up to 9 months stay in Thailand.

ALSO the New 🆕 DTV visa is a possibility for you. It's valid for 5 years and is a multiple entry tourist visa. EACH entry gives you 180 stamp.

There's several Soft Power activities which, if enrolled, could get you the DTV visa.

You can try to get a NEW Non O Visa...

BUT be prepared for questions from Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival.

Wanting to know why you don't have a correct visa to enter Thailand.

They can see the back to back Non O Visas issued and may deny you entry.
