Have any of you men, who are married to a Thai national, been able to be approved for 2 separate Non-O visas? I got one last year and want to apply again this year but I am worried that the Non-O is a one-time deal.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community consensus indicates that there is no restriction on applying for multiple Non-O visas if you are married to a Thai national, provided you meet eligibility requirements and comply with current regulations. Participants shared that they have successfully re-applied for the Non-O visa multiple times. It's essential to reapply and provide necessary evidence each time, as visas are renewed annually. However, you should be cautious with frequent border crossings for visa purposes, as this can raise red flags at immigration.

As long as the previous visa has expired (multiple Non-O) or been USED, then you can get a new Non-O endlessly as long as you comply with the (current) requirements. I have personally held more than 10 multiple Non-O visas based on marriage. However, I will not recommend multiple Non-O visas any longer as some border stations do not like you bouncing out and in again every 90 days.

Henrik JN Yeah, this is why I am starting to get nervous risking traveling for a new visa. Thai immigration seems to change constantly. And I want to know if the trip is worth the risk. I did ONE border jump in Malaysia, after numerous people I knew had done it countless times and told me to do it. The first and one time I did it without a visa, immigration was upset with me and didn't want to let me in. Luckily my wife was already past security and talked to immigration for me. They said if I do it again I will be banned.

, you will get different experiences from different people on the border bouncing on a Non-O multiple. I know for sure that Poi Pet Cambodian border is not a station you should use for it. But if you stay one night outside Thailand and arrive by air I guess most experiences will be positive. However, the substantial requirements for getting the Non-O multiple at most embassies are the same as getting an extension at Immigration, but the paperwork is more comprehensive at Immigration.

Thanks to the sane and respectful answers. It's good to see there is at least one more real response over the troll responses. No idea why losers stroll through here all day to make fun of people. What sad lives.

you know it's sad when a poster makes negative remarks about others as you just did. Perhaps better to thank people for the responses that were useful and not act so sensitive about others who actually have a sense of humor, maybe???

Keef Newham You just told me to do exactly what I did above. I think you are a little confused. I am not going to laugh with immature people who ask if I married a ladyboy after I ask for visa advice. Or a girl that suggests that I am dumb for asking the question.

just ignore them dude. TiT This is Thailand you know this is going to happen.

Visa’s are new every year. You’ll have to reapply and provide required evidence. There’s no limit of times, can be 30 years but probably a limit of one wife at a time for visa qualification. 🙂

you do not get a new visa each year you apply for an extension of stay for 1 year which is a stamp not a new visa
Bob **********
If you meet all the requirements there’s no problem you’ll need at least 20 days left on your current stay to start a new non-o

, there is no doubt that what the Immigration Bureau would like you to do is to get a Non-O single entry at an Embassy or zero entry at the Immigration and then have an extension to this Non-O. However, you are not gonna get at least not the extension (legally) without complying with the financial requirements, and the paperwork for the extension is comprehensive and somehow cumbersome (especially when you are new to it).

This is why I asked and why I worry. I am afraid the Non-O is a one-time visa you get so that you can have time to extend and get a marriage visa eventually. But after my last Non-O expired I went back to the States and then returned to Thailand with a Tourist visa. Now I want to try for a new Non-O

It's not

If you qualify you qualify. There's nothing that says you're limited to one.
