Can I apply for a new visa from the UK while on a Non-O entry stamp in Thailand?

Hello All... I am currently on a non-immigrant O visa which expired on 30th April. Following the advice of this group, I left the country before this date and was given a three month stamp on my return which takes me up to 26th July. I am planning to visit the UK in June for three weeks and was hoping to apply for another visa while I was there. Would this still be possible while still technically on an extension of my current visa......? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a new visa while on a non-immigrant O visa entry stamp, which extends until July after having left Thailand before their previous visa expired. According to a response, although the current status is not an extension but an entry stamp, the user is eligible to apply for a new visa in the UK since their previous visa has already expired. However, it is noted that the Thai embassy in London only issues single entry Non-O visas now.

First of all, it is not an extension, it's an entry stamp if you enter on the Non-O multiple entry visa just before the "valid until" date.

Your entry stamp is no longer valid when you exit Thailand without a re-entry permit. No problem to apply for a new visa as your previous visa itself has already expired.

Just you know, London has no longer issued Non-O multiple entry visas, they issue only Single Entry visas for those.

you're probably already aware, but if not, make sure you review the requirements for the Non-OA as they are slightly different from the Non-O.

I believe Non-OA would require you to have a certain amount of approved health insurance, while the Non-O would not. Not sure if there are other differences, but you would want to make sure you're clear on them. Good luck. I'm sure Ellie and the gang can clarify for you. Or search the group for old Non-OA posts.

Hi Ellie..... I've just checked the link you attached and there seems to be an option for "Non-Immigrant Type O- A (Long Stay) 1 Year/Multiple entries" at the bottom of the list of visa types.... Has this been withdrawn....? Thanks..

they certainly did seeing as there isn't even a choice anymore for a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa (not for retirement, not for marriage to a thai, not for any reason)

You either get the 90 day single entry and apply for the extension inside the country after that runs down or you get the OA which is a year long multi-entry

OR

come in on a free stamp and do it all inside the country (the 90 day Non-O and year extension) at the immigration office

what is the reason you have this current year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa?
