Hello guys, I'm a journalist for Coconuts Bangkok. We are writing a story about TM30 and we are collecting brief anecdotes from people who have run into trouble regarding the newly enforced reporting regulations. I’d love to talk to you about your experience with it — please comment on this post and/or message me! Thank you very much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around shared experiences regarding the TM30 reporting regulations in Thailand. Many expats express frustrations with the current reporting process, indicating that the online system is often inefficient and difficult to navigate. Some comments highlight specific issues, such as landlords hesitating to process TM30 forms due to tax concerns, while others mention the challenges faced by both expats and Thais in dealing with immigration processes. There is a general consensus that Thailand's immigration system is in need of modernization to improve efficiency.

I rent privately from a working Thai professional who was nice enough to process mine for me, but she had a hell of a time. Website didn’t work, phones weren’t being answered, so she had to haul ass to Chaeng Wattana to sort it out. I’d hoped the process would be easier for her, being an educated Thai native, but it was just as frustrating. I’m nervous to ever leave Bangkok again because I don’t think I could ask her to go through that ordeal more than once.

, I'm sorry about the lack of response, we can admittedly be a little disorganized and some messages don't get trickled down to me. I've inboxed you directly.

Garrett Greenwald so why are they asking for info and people’s experiences on the same story now then?

As a side note, the TM30 regulations have been applied unevenly during the last 3-4 years. For example, this is very old news in Chiangmai.

My opinion. If they entered the 21st century on how its processed, it wouldn't be an issue.

I don’t have any problem with TM30, if only they can speed up and add more counter for the reporting. It’s fine to report in or even better an application.

why don’t u concentrate on the 90 days online reporting that won’t work

and wastes our time as the TM30 form

is very easy to do online and no

issue obviously the thai computer systems in immigration need enormous upgrades and cannot

work with all the new devices and programmes so they just won’t fix it xx
Brian ********
Keith

It now works with Chrome too, done it many times now

But for a long time I used IE, back in the day it was the only browser that worked
David ****************
The 90 day online system used to require an old version of IE to work. Now it works with a lot of browsers, though, including the new IE and Firefox. Chrome still didn't work last time I tried. Try another browser if it isn't working.

Also, you have to be within the online reporting window of something like 2 weeks before due up until about 5 days before, or something like that (I believe those days are off a bit). if you try to it online the day it is due it won't work.

@Wayne *******
you seem to doubt me! I don't have a magic wand but I do use i.e. As I stated before I have never had a problem! Last time I used a new app(Immigration for foreigners) and everything was easy and approved in 20mins. After approval just printout a copy for my passport!

You do know that it only works with i.e?
Wayne ********
@Rob *********
but if u can make it work like i can it takes less then 10 mins and done so i haven’t had an issue with it
Wayne ********
@Keith ********

Keith *********
@Wayne *******
I have never had a problem with 90 report online. Usually takes less then one day for approval but my last report was approved in 20mins!

......More people are pissed off with the TM30 and more complaints about the TM30 than anything else- that's why, I presume.
