How can I renew my Thai partner's Australian visa that expires on July 15 for an additional 3 years?
Hi guys thanks for the invite. I have a Thai partner of many years and she has travelled most of Australia with me in my caravan. Her visa expires on the 15th July and I want to renew it for a further 3 years if possible. How do I go about this. Current 3 month visa was done in Pattaya but now in Kuchinarai.
Answer summary
The user seeks guidance on renewing their Thai partner's Australian visa that is set to expire on July 15. The conversation reveals confusion regarding visa types, as some participants mistakenly assume the partner requires a Thai visa. It is clarified that the user needs information on an Australian visa, with mentions of an amnesty period for expired visas until July 31 and suggestions for applying online with subsequent biometrics.

Don't know what you mean current visa was done in Pattaya? All Australian visas are done in Bangkok. Where are you now? If Thailand, you'll need to wait until they open Australia up again to tourists and apply again. If she's been before, just fill in the online application form for her and provide letter of financial support. She'll have no problem.

You can apply online but still have to go in for biometrics once approved. No point doing biometrics if your application is declined

I think if dont the bio metrics in BKK can now do online?

There is a law signed by PM about Visa amnesty and all expired visa are covered with this until July 31st.So you dont need to worry and wait for that day.

. The visa waiver here has nothing to do with Australian visas. Hes talking about his partner renewing a visa to visit Australia again. Activity
