TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the best approach for obtaining a Thai visitor visa to Australia. Experiences shared include both successful and unsuccessful attempts using various methods: agencies in Thailand and self-applications. Some users found success with agencies, particularly after initial rejections when applying independently, while others reported being able to successfully navigate the process without agency help. Overall, the choice between agency assistance and self-application may depend on individual circumstances and the applicant's history.

Easy enough to do yourself.

We have done all my partners visa’s ourselves without and agent and had them approved without any extra info requested or delays and well ahead of the immigration online stated usually timeframes for processing

First time i applied myself and it was rejected. You have to prove that she has incentive to go back home after trip. Then i used an agent in Thailand and was successful. Third time i used the agent again and was successful. I think it might get easier once there is a track record of returning.

My wife has had no issues applying for it. First time was for business meeting so company paid for agent. No idea what different class means. Since then she has done on her own and she just said simple enough. I am not Australian so not sponsoring
