What visa should I apply for to bring my Thai girlfriend to Australia for a holiday, and how long does the process take?

I've taken my missus twice to Aus. Both times pre-covid. Normal tourist visa. Apply VFS online to start with and then waltz up to the Trendy building (I went with her but wasn't needed except to open my wallet 🤣), for the biometric stuff. From memory couldn't apply more than two months prior to proposed travel date, but from Go to Whoa the whole process took 3-4 weeks. The visa was good for six months to enter. Can't recall the price, but wasn't as much as the vet bill for the Buffalo so it was manageable. They did ask her for a few things. Letter from her employer stating salary and years of service, and details of her landholdings.

The borders reopening? Malaysia is slammed shut. Myanmar is Myanmar. Laos requires extensive permission from the Lao government. Cambodia has a similar quarantine system like Thailand and no tourist visas are being issued
