I know this may seem like a redundant question, but I would be interested in learning about DTV visa for 5 years. Does anyone know where I can find the actual information on the Thai consular site? The 5-year multiple entry seems too good to be true. Is there a catch? Every time I leave Thailand and return, do I need to pay an extra fee? Any experts on this platform, please advise

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa offers a 5-year stay with multiple entries into Thailand, allowing for border runs without incurring entry fees. However, extensions of stay require a fee, currently debated to be around 1,900 Baht for a 180-day extension, contrasting with earlier beliefs of 10,000 Baht. It's advised to consult official Thai consulate sources and recent updates from experts or official services for precise requirements and fees.

Okay guy thank you for all information . We are need to find out correct information I think the best action is to check out the Thai consulate site and see what is the fee . I also uncleared as well . I seen 10,000 bath for fee but if it cost 1900 bath then even better .

@Ora ******
no thai consulate or embassy is extending your stay. That idea is a bit naive.

Only the immigration offices in Thailand can.

You have nearly 180 days to ask that question, when you are there.

Even if i dont understand, why this price difference would be a big thing if one can get that Visa.

Would the people not be willing to pay 8100 baht more for nearly a half year more? Cheap Charlies are they!

They even could make a cheap border run to get the next 180 days...

And you will see, my information is correct.

So you tell me my sources aren’t official but you can’t provide an official source?

This is what I mean. I haven’t been rude or anything to you but you are being very petty and rude.

The price dosent matter to me I just want to know what the correct answer is.

It’s not about you or me being right or wrong which you seem to think it is.

Provide the official source or just say it hasn’t been officially published yet and therefore we don’t know 100%. You being well informed from private source may very well be true but it’s kind of irresponsible to spread news without official PUBLIC sources.

@Kayla *******
both of your sources are not official ones. Better follow official sources.

How many times should i repeat, that its officially 1900 Baht, which is the USUAL fee for for example also for stays with tourist visa or visa exempted entries...

Do your research/homework better.

please don’t be rude I asked for an official source… do you have an official source stating this specific visa extension will be 1900?

I’m not trying to be rude or come off like I’m asking pointless questions. I’ve done a lot of searching and haven’t found anywhere stating that the extension for this specific visa will be 1900 but I have seen many unofficial sources saying it will be 10,000.

Please share if you have a link to the official source that has this information.

@Kayla *******
i informed you. You will see, that i'm right.

Just give it time to be published, if it isn't yet.

I don't work for you to find links.

My sources are private but official and direct, not possible to provide links to the internet.

I'm always well informed and one of the first to know.

Btw. i wonder, why that should make so much difference for you, even if it WOULD be

for each of the six extensions, if fully used is not a big thing for nearly six years time in Thailand:

did they change it from 10,000 baht for the extension?

I’m still confused because I’ve seen on many sites that the extension will be 10,000 baht. Do we have confirmation from an official government source on the price?

So it is 10,000 for the extension then still?

I’m confused because I remember reading the extension for 180 days costing 10,000?

@Kayla *******
the price for a 180 days extension of the 180 days stay with DTV-Visa is 1900 Baht. The price for to buy the visa is

Giving 360 days to stay.

Check your local Embassy for requirements, you dont need to pay for each entry, only for extentions of stay to each entry.
