Ok good people, I'm 54 I have a pension that pays over the DTV requirements, my wife is under 50 for the retirement visa and shares my income.

My question is, how do I get a DTV for both of us and is there a joint DVT and requirements?

We are UK based and are due in Thailand back end of February 25.

Thanks for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, who is 54 and has a pension exceeding the DTV requirements, seeks guidance on obtaining a DTV for himself and his wife who is under 50. Comments indicate that the DTV is primarily based on having a certain amount of cash in the bank (500,000 THB) rather than income from a pension. They suggest that one spouse can obtain the DTV while the other applies as a spouse. Alternatively, pursuing a retirement visa for the user and a trailing spouse visa for the wife is recommended, especially since obtaining these visas can vary by embassy.

Retirement visa its better. This agent Visa Service Pattaya can help with DTV visa or retirement visa. I have good experience with them 👍🏼

The DTV requirement is 500k in the bank. They could care less about your pension

The DTV doesn't require an income it requires cash in the bank plus one of you needs to qualify for either remote work or soft power options. One of you gets the DTV then the other applies as their spouse.

Alternatively you could look at a retirement visa and your wife a trailing spouse (dependant) visa, some embassies will only issue the trailing spouse visa if you get the Non-OA visa rather than the Non-O visa and it can't be obtained in Thailand or nearby
