I want to go home at the end of the month or next month (potentially over 2 weeks away), but my (2nd) tourist visa expires at on the 18th. Is the any issues at the moment with getting a 3rd tourist visa from Vientiane? Also, this 20k cash thing- what's the score? I am using UK accounts and credit cards.
PS I don't want to get a single day overstay as this will obviously effect me in the future. *I have done the 30 day extension already.*

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a 3rd tourist visa from Vientiane, as their 2nd visa expires on the 18th, and they plan to leave in two weeks. They express apprehension about overstaying. Community comments suggest that a small overstay may not significantly impact future visa applications, and they should check their allowance for land borders. Additionally, options like border hopping and applying for an extension are discussed.
A small overstay absolutely doesn't affect future visas - at least in my own experience. 1 day and 6 day overstays (the last one due to immigration baa mak mak) and never been called up because of it. Had an SETV and ED since.
if you still have your allowance for the TWO times land border per year you could also do a quick border bounce and get 30 days, BTW this is extendable by a further 30 days a Thai Immigration.
