TLDR : Answer Summary
A poster flying from Manchester to Bangkok for a holiday and fight camp is seeking advice on visa options as their return is on December 1st. Responses suggest applying for a 60-day tourist visa online, as a standard 30-day visa will not cover their stay duration. Several users recommend extending the visa for an additional 30 days at immigration, while others emphasize the importance of not overstaying, with fines incurred for such actions. Cautionary advice regarding airline rules and potential refusals at boarding due to insufficient visa arrangements is also provided.

Bit late to get a tourist visa.

Buy a single air ticket to Kuala Lumpur on air Asia to give you a departure date of Thailand within 30 days of arrival. That will clear any potential issues boarding you UK / Thailand flight.

About a week before your 30 days stamp expire go to immigration to get a 30 days extension .

At the end of your 60 days in Thailand go to cambodia for a few days to see the temple and get stamped in again for 30 days coming to Thailand ( same applies, you ll might he asked for a return ticket with a date within 30 days of coming back to Thailand.

You can extend again by another 30 days.

If you don't have a passport showing loads of back and forth to Thailand you ll be fine .

Don't take the habit to do this or one day you ll he refused entry into Thailand

Be aware that if you don't have a Visa the Airline may kick up, Austrian were about to refuse me in April ( I slipped up because Thailand cut the 45 day exemption back to 30 days and I didn't have time to apply online) I was able to explain that I had an appointment at Petchabun immigration two days after arriving and provide evidence, then they waived the rule, it was touch and go for 20 minutes though

the Airline might ask you for proof of onward travel within the first 30 days you will get stamped in visa-exempt. So beware: you could be refused boarding

A thirty day extension costs 1900 baht, roughly 52usd. Four days of overstay us an extra 2000 baht about 55usd. But they will also put an overstay stamp in your passport. Not a major concern but I would avoid one if possible.

Never, I say NEVER EVER, go into an overstay knowingly. You will regret it in the future

just been told that if goes on a standard 30 day can extend it there in immigration by 30 days for roughly £40 then when he leaves the country will get fined for the 4 days at 500 baht per day

If ur in uk you hv to do it via Internet. Just search thai consulate London and follow the links to the online application. Few weird q's on it but just ebter what you can. If it asks fir hotel just give em first one and / or wherever ur staying fir the camps.

Or u could just do 30 plus 30 byt then you'd hv to do a border bounce ....can ne tricky
