Jomtien immigration: Extension of 60 day tourist visa. (I arrived 4th Dec and did quarantine)

Was hoping to get 60 day Covid extension but was only able to get 30 days ☹️ The girl on reception gave me the 60 day Covid forms and said I should be able to get it (well that’s what I thought she said) but alas even though all the forms were submitted they still only gave me 30 days extension. When I queried it they said I can only get 30 days from a tourist visa.

Answer summary

A user shares their experience at Jomtien immigration, where they attempted to extend their 60-day tourist visa with a 60-day COVID extension but were only granted a 30-day extension. Although they received the necessary forms, the immigration office clarified that extensions on tourist visas are limited to 30 days initially, according to policy.

Yep...Jomtien requires you to use available 30 days extension of tourist visa or visa exempt entry first...before the 60 days COVID extension.

Thank you for your report 😊
