TLDR : Answer Summary
For the Non-O marriage visa extension, the 400,000 baht must be held in your name only in a Thai bank account. While some offices may permit a joint account, the required amount would then be doubled to 800,000 baht. An account solely in your wife's name does not meet the requirement.

. If you get stuck, apply for a 60 day visit family extension to bridge the gap, then do yearly extension on the back of that. But you can only do this once per visa/yearly extension. Will need a fresh visa from outside Thailand to get access to 60 day visit family extension again.
400k has to be in your name only. Some offices may allow you to use a joint account with your wife, but if they do then the amount would be need to be double - 800k. You cannot use an account in your wife’s name only.
