Does changing jobs affect my marriage-based visa extension in Thailand?

I have a question about extension based on marriage, using salary as proof.

I am married and recently used my work here and salary as proof of finances. I am going to leave this job, and ideally would like to have a couple months off before working again.

My question is, does this void my visa or create complications next extension? Ideally, I’d rather stay on the visa I have but if I have to renew with different proof of funds, I’ll do it.

I expect I have to change, but I’m thinking, they only needed 3 months proof for the last extension, so if I start a job in a few months, will it even matter?

Extension done at Samut Prakan if that makes any difference.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The extension of your visa based on marriage remains valid even if you change jobs. You only need to provide proof of employment (or a bank statement method) for the three months prior to your next extension application. The reasons for the initial visa issuance, such as marriage to a Thai national, remain unaffected by job changes.

You apply for an Extension of Stay based on marriage with a Thai National, the change of jobs or income does not effect the reason why this Extension of Stay is issued.

See it as the same if you change address, or changes the furniture after making the needed pictures of proof of marriage.

no problem at all, once you get the year extension there is no requirement you have to work the whole year to keep the extension. You just need 3 months of proof of employment BEFORE you apply for the next extension or you use banked money method.
