I am working in Thailand and my extension of stay is based on my employer. However, I was thinking about changing my extension to a an extension of stay based on marriage and still maintain my job.
Is this transition allowed and would it cause any issues with my current employer or WP registration?
Would I need to meet the 400k THB seasoning requirements or could I just show my pay verification?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user wishes to change their extension of stay from employment-based to a marriage-based visa while continuing to work in Thailand. To make this transition, it is important to note that a B work visa cannot be extended based on marriage; rather, it must be converted to an O marriage visa. While the user can use their salary as proof of financial stability, they must meet specific requirements: a minimum income of 40,000 THB per month or a bank balance of 400,000 THB in their name for two months. Additionally, their employer may need to provide a letter of consent and possibly documentation proving income. It is advisable to consult with the local immigration office for detailed requirements before proceeding.
