TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, legally a TM30 report must be filed by the property owner when a foreigner stays at their location, whether it be a private residence or a hotel. However, in practice, many property owners do not report short stays, and it typically only becomes an issue if you need to visit immigration for an extension or in case of an emergency.

It’s not going to be an issue unless you have to visit immig for an extension for example, or you end up in Hospital and they can’t track down where you are staying to contact relatives or friends…..

Legally the person who owns the property will be required to lodge a TM30 with the local immigration department within 24 hours of your arrival, but realistically not many people actually bother with it.

No don't bother

You don't need to report, it's whoever owns the property where you're staying that needs to report

Legally yes, every time a foreigner stays at a location, the property owner must file a TM30 reporting this.
Realistically if you're just staying a few days and you won't be needing to go to immigration for anything, you don't need to worry about it.
