Hi lovely people! I'm leaving Thailand in about 10 days to go apply for my DTV. I am trying to choose between Vietnam and Taipei. I would appreciate to hear anyone's personal experiences with either places.
I work remotely but I also get treated for Lupus here in Thailand already so thinking of doing medical soft power since it's much easier to get paperwork together.
I recently signed a lease in Bang Saray (Pattaya area), does anyone know if a copy of my lease will help me?
Any advice or feedback is so much appreciated :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is seeking advice on whether to apply for a DTV visa in Vietnam or Taipei, considering their remote work situation and ongoing medical treatment for Lupus in Thailand. They have recently signed a lease in Bang Saray and wonder if it will aid in their visa application process. Comments provide insights on required documentation for Taipei, including medical certificates and a job-related letter, and emphasize the importance of valid paperwork. There's also a discussion about the visa situation in Vietnam.
I can speak Thai. They were very suspicious of all DTV appliers category medical treatment. So I overheard them say they called the clinic and everything was fine in my case. However others were interrogated for 5-10 minutes. That's why they also asked us for additional documents/information regarding job and salary.
interesting, and also seems quite proactive for 🇹🇭, 555! As far as I know there's no income requirement for soft power. Did you ask them anything in Thai,? In my experience there's usually a big change in the farang/Thai dynamic after. Appreciate your reply. ☺️
oh gotcha okay, i just moved from Chiang Mai to Pattaya so will be finding a new doctor. Actually going to do this today. Do you know if i need to pay for future appointments or can i request receipts from my previous ones in Chiang Mai?
