Today I got my DTV visa approved in Taipei, Taiwan! It was very smooth. I highly suggest coming here. I gave last month bank statement plus of course all the other docs that proved I work remotely. If you have any question I am happy to answer some but please do not ask nonsense stuff!

The post discusses the approval of a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Taipei, mentioning a smooth application process with specific documentation such as a recent bank statement and proof of remote work. Commenters inquire about employment proof (like contracts for freelancers), visa fees, and the logistics of document submission, including questions about the necessity of notarization and whether documents were checked thoroughly. Do you need a queue to come in? or just to come in the working hours ?

Did you get it at The Thailand Trade and Economic office in Taipei? And are you a legal resident in Taiwan or tourist that went there just for the DTV visa?

Did they ask you any questions when you were handing in your documents? What did they specifically look for the most? I understand they want to check that your current account balance is at least 500,000 Baht by you logging into your banking application?

she checked basically every single document but she mostly checked the the contract mentioned work from home! That I had at least 500k and she went through all the bank statements I provided 4 because I had different currencies also she checked my business registration and who owned the business and matched it with my passport name! As I said she checks everything briefly and I explained each document what it was because she was not able to understand it! I did not need to log in into my bank account

What did you provide in terms of employment proof? I have an LLC in the US I was going to use to write myself an employment contract. Will that work? I believe I've seen others mention they did that too. Thanks

Shouldn't it suffice that you show you are the owner of the company? That's what I was planning to do with my Dubai LLC. 🤔

I did exactly that! I wrote my own contract! Make sure to write that you (employee) can work remotely from anywhere ! That’s what they check. I gave business bank statement that shows all the payments coming in, and a screenshot of my online shop! I also wrote a letter saying that I own the business and that all the money in the business I mine and I can take it at anytime and I don’t have any liabilities

where did you print the application from? The Taipei consulate said it may be better for me to apply from the home country (USA)? 🤷🏻

I don't think it's required. Depends on what paperwork you possess and your explanation that everything meets the requirements.

original wet stamp or copy of the original with stamp is ok? So it would be a copy of the stamp... Hope it will suffice

A copy should be OK. It's not feasible to have original stamps in many cases especially if you're working remotely, which is what this visa is for.

by the entity that provided the document. For example if you do a DTV visa by taking Muay Thai class. The paperwork regarding the school should be stamped by the Muay Thai school.
