TLDR : Answer Summary
For a DTV visa in Thailand, you are required to file a TM30 upon arrival to register your address with immigration. Additionally, if you remain in Thailand for 90 days, you must file a TM47 (90-day report). The TM47 typically requires a copy of the TM30, and it may vary by office whether other documents such as a passport copy are needed. It is advisable to check with your local immigration office for specific requirements. The TM30 is also important if you need immigration services like a certificate of residency.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Service to get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Do yourself and the landlord / receptionist a favour by asking of a screenprint of the TM30 at check-in, so they donβt need to search for it 80+ days later.

TM30 is required if you want immigration services like a certificate of residency, etc. If no, you can ignore it, but you really let the immigration office know where you are staying and renting from whom or if you own a residence.

Required to file report of 90 day stay. The DTV visa does not exempt you from reporting.
Check your local office for process and documentation as each one varies

You or your land lord files a TM30 once you are here showing you're registered as staying where you are and IF you're here 90 days you file a 90 day report (TM47)
for the 90 day report usually just a copy of the TM30 showing your registered address and a filled out TM47 form. BUT that is office specific and some do require copies of data page of the passport, visa/entry stamp so check with your office OR say where you will be staying so people in that area can tell you what's what π
