TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about the necessity of a visa for their 3-month-old baby while entering Thailand on a tourist visa, with plans to apply for a marriage visa upon arrival. Respondents confirmed that while the baby can enter Thailand on a visa-exempt basis with a Swedish passport, having a valid visa simplifies the situation, especially for legal status and any future visa applications. There was also a mention of the baby's potential eligibility for Thai citizenship, which could provide advantages.

As a side note, is the baby eligible for thai citizenship, if so this may be advantageous having dual citizenship with 2 passports

thank you I will have a look on how to do that. The dad is that so I guess my son will be eligible for that?

As a rule, yes, you do, any foreigner has to have a valid visa. He can enter on visa-exempt on his Swedish passport. While a child under 15 y.o. is not penalised for overstaying, it still makes things easier and simpler when he is staying legally in Thailand. Especially if you are going to apply for any for him (in-country visa, or any Thai government-related applications).
